Would you like beautiful bride and groom portraits at the lovely venues the North East of England has to offer?

By checking out my couple’s venue before their wedding day for great locations and making a note of the light at that time of the year I make sure we are all prepared to make the most of a limited timeline.  This ensures the bride and groom are relaxed and happy safe in the knowledge they will have some lovely portraits and have some precious moments alone to draw breath and reflect on the best day of their life.

Even if I have been to the venue many times before the hours of daylight and position of the sun will change depending on the time of year and the weather, which, in turn, will dictate where and when the portraits can take place.  However, all of this will also depend primarily on the couple themselves, however, as I will never forget that their wishes come first and I can only advise.

There are a few examples below of how doing a recce of the venue resulted in some lovely bride and groom and family and friends portraits.  Amy & Michael had booked their service at North Shields Register Office, lunch at How Do You Do by the quayside, a detour on a London Bus to St. Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay and a reception supper at The View at Tynemouth Long Sands.  They were over the moon with the results.
