Wedding during the new Lockdown
Sadly weddings and civil partnerships will not be permitted except in exceptional circumstances from the 5th November until at least 2nd December 2020.
The ‘exceptional circumstances’ are yet to be announced. This is another terrible blow for all those involved in the wedding business. Shotton Hall has already closed and sadly many more could follow. It is particularly bad as North-East venues had won numerous awards nationally and were attracting wedding couples from all over the UK. For those that can survive, 2021 should be a bumper year and it is hoped that the government will help out once again to keep the sector afloat until then.
