Sarah and Owen chose the magnificent 11th Century Durham Castle for their lovely summer wedding and it certainly lived up to its name as one of the premier events in North-East England.

Sarah is a University College Durham alumna so it also had special memories for them both, although they did meet at St. Andrew’s.

As befitting a castle venue, Sarah did look beautifully regal in a lovely ballgown style dress and Owen was resplendent in a dark grey morning suit. The weather was perfect for reception drinks in the courtyard and the castle provided many outstandingly atmospheric and historic settings for the bride & groom portraits and friends and family groups, The Great Hall for the reception, Tunstall Gallery and an Undercroft bar for evening drinks were all so impressive. The wedding party then returned to the Great Hall for dancing and casino tables and everyone, including Owen’s Dutch family, had a great time.
